Keeping the lash bond as clean as possible is crucial for the longevity of your eyelash extensions. Water, salts, and oils are the main culprits that can weaken the glue. Thatโs why it's essential to dry your lashes thoroughly after cleaning them (using a cool setting, of course).
Thanks to our amazing Lionheart Super Bonder, which cures the glue instantly, you can get your lashes wet right away!
Top tip: If your client is sensitive to adhesive fumes, give them a lash bath with our daily-use shampoo after applying the Super Bonder. This will eliminate strong fumes, leaving your client with irritation-free eyes.
Yes, and it's important! A good skincare routine is essential for removing dirt, makeup, and excess oil. However, when you have lash extensions, extra care around the eyes is necessary.
If you don't cleanse properly, excess oil around the eye area can clog your pores. When this happens, it weakens the adhesive, causing your lash extensions to fall out prematurely. Worse, it could lead to bacterial eye infections, which could force you to pause your lash appointments until it's cleared up.
For the eye area, we always recommend using our daily-use eyelash shampoo. As for the rest of your face, choose a cleanser that is neither alcohol-based nor oil-based, as both ingredients are known to break down lash adhesive. A gentle, oil-free, and alcohol-free facial wash is best when you have eyelash extensions.
A foaming cleanser for sensitive skin is often ideal, as it's less likely to irritate your eyes compared to cream or gel cleansers.
Before purchasing any new products, consult your lash technician for recommendations tailored to your specific needs.

Yes, you can still wash your face when you have eyelash extensions, but you must be cautious. Avoid letting water run directly over your lashes, and clean around them first, followed by the extensions themselves.
